Quality workmanship is one of the areas in which Masonry Specialty has raised the bar of excellence for the masonry industry. We enjoy a reputation for quality, gained through years of commitment to superior craftsmanship. At Masonry Specialty, we provide your project with first-class craftsmanship.

At Masonry Specialty we use a systematic analysis approach that identifies and selects the best value alternatives for your design including materials, processes, and systems. We proceed by repeatedly asking "can the cost of this item or installation process be reduced or eliminated, without diminishing the effectiveness, required quality, or customer satisfaction?" Our objective is to distinguish between the incurred costs and the costs inherent in a particular design and to minimize the locked-in costs.
We also examine each procurement item to ascertain its total cost of acquisition and wherever feasible, replace it with a more cost-effective substitute.
By drilling down into these two important aspects we can determine which can be altered to meet the budgetary requirements without sacrificing the aesthetics or performance of your project.

Masonry upkeep can involve both repair or restoration. It’s important to know the difference and understand what each method entails before hiring a professional.

Repair -

Because masonry is prone to cracking and chipping, repairs become necessary over time. More common than restoration, repair involves taking damaged sections and replacing them with a new product.
Restoration -

When we restore masonry, we ensure that the new pieces are period-appropriate. For example, a Victorian-era building would require Victorian style bricks. Masonry restoration is more involved than Masonry repair, takes longer, and is costlier, but results in a beautiful effect.  No matter the project, it’s important to make sure that these special structures are cared for appropriately. Understanding the difference between repair and restoration ensures your masonry project receives the correct treatment and looks good for years to come.
The following is a scope list of turn-key products & services we provide to our clients:

  • Tuckpointing
  • Flashing Replacement and Repair
  • Structural Masonry Repair
  • Historic Preservation and Restoration
  • Façade Cleaning
  • Chip or Crack Repair

The aim of procurement savings is to drive down procurement costs, improve supplier terms and decrease product prices. By doing so, we can give tighter bids, and in turn, give our clients a tighter budget to bid with.

We do this in a systematic approach by reviewing supplier’s terms and discounts, consolidating suppliers and deliveries, reviewing purchasing requirements, purchasing at prior agreed to rates, and having replacement strategies in case of unforeseen issues with suppliers.

Setting practical durations that consider the most efficient sequencing and phasing methods ensures your project meets deadlines and holds to the critical path. We think through the integration concerns with other trades to make sure the formulated plan allows for effective workflow. Rooted in all this is the level of quality that must be achieved to build relationships and products that stand the test of time.
